Bio-Sketch

Saurabh Agarwal is a Professor of Accounting and Finance & Principal, IIF CCMS & Associate Editor, Finance India - The Quarterly Journal of Finance, India. He has sought his education from some of the Ivy League institutions in India – Delhi School of Economics; Faculty of Management Studies (University of Delhi); Shri Ram College of Commerce (University of Delhi); Modern School (Bharakhamba Road) and Delhi Public School (Mathura Road). His Doctorate work on “A Goal Programming Portfolio Section Model” has been done at the prestigious Faculty of Management Studies (University of Delhi).

He is a Board Member of several organizations like Dattopant Thengadi National Board for Worker's Education and Development (formerly Central Board for Workers Education), Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India; The Associated Chambers of Commerce of India (ASSOCHAM); Federation of Industry, Trade and Services (FITS) and IIF CCMS, Affiliated to CCS University.

He is a visiting faculty to Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Rohtak, Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi and University of South Pacific (USP), Fiji. He has been teaching papers like Financial Accounting; Accounting for Decision Making; Management Accounting; Advanced Financial Reporting and Analysis; Financial Management and Valuation; Financial Services; International Finance; Security Analysis and Portfolio Management; Financial Engineering and Risk Management using a very unique teaching pedagogy using case studies, simulated exercises, videos and podcasts. He has also taken online lectures for IIM Rohtak. Student feedback for his lectures has been extremely positive.

He has written two international publications by Palgrave Macmillan, UK and Lap Lambert, Germany. Professor Agarwal has published research articles in a number of University Grants Commission (UGC) approved peer reviewed journals having high impact factor. On the research front, he has Seventeen (17) refereed research publications in indexed/peer reviewed international journals, Three (3) chapters in Edited books, Two (2) research monographs, Five (5) newspaper articles and Thirty Five (35) book reviews to his credit. He has been awarded Accredited Management Teacher (AMT) by All India Management Association (AIMA) and Best Research Paper Award by Indian Institute of Management (IIM Ahmedabad) in 2010. He is member of the Professor’s Forum of India, India and Indian Econometric Association, India. Prof. Agarwal formerly was the Convener of the Project, Programme and Portfolio Management Committee (ISO/TC 258) of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Government of India.

His biographical note figures in Emerald Who’s Who in Asia. He has delivered series of Keynote addresses/Chair at International Conferences hosted by IIT Kharagpur, INDIA; ASSOCHAM and at the 13th West Lake International Conference on Small & Medium Business (WLICSMB 2011) hosted by the Hangzhou Municipal Government and Zhejiang University of Technology in Hangzhou, CHINA. He has presented his research papers at four (4) international conferences and delivered eighteen (18) Invited Lectures, Chair Address and Speeches. He is often invited for panel discussions at leading news channels like Prime News, Total TV, India News, Aaj Tak, One News, News Express, A2Z News and Shree News. He has attended nine (9) international seminars including OECD Climate Summit (2007 and 2008) and ADB Board of Governors Meeting (2006, 2007 & 2014) and sixty four (64) National Seminars/Meetings/Workshops.

He has visited U.K., France, Switzerland, Nigeria, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, U.A.E, Belgium, Italy, Spain, China, Fiji and Luxemburg for gaining international exposure. He has guided sixty eight (68) MBF Dissertations and twelve (12) international executive MBA dissertations.
